Current limitations

What Pantaray cannot do yet, kept in one place so it stays current.

Pantaray is early. These are the limits worth knowing before you rely on it, in the current release.

macOS only, Apple silicon only

There is no Windows or Linux version, and no build for Intel Macs.

One Action at a time

Pantaray runs a single Action at a time. Start another and you will be asked to finish or stop the first.

One model for everything

The model you choose is used for every part of the work. There is no way to assign a cheaper model to background work and a stronger one to the hard parts.

Page contents and addresses are recorded in Google Chrome only, and Incognito windows are excluded. Safari contributes the page address alone. Firefox, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, and Arc contribute neither, and a browser outside that list is recorded like any other app: its on-screen text, without an address.

Window titles are recorded in every browser, and a window title usually names the page. The full table is in What Pantaray records. To leave a browser out entirely, exclude the app under Settings → Recorded apps and websites.

Provider coverage varies in practice

All four connection options are built and usable: OpenAI, Anthropic, Fireworks AI, and ChatGPT sign-in. They have not all seen the same amount of real-world use, and the model catalogues, capabilities, and limits behind them change often. If one behaves oddly, tell us.

No connection test

Saving a key does not verify it. You find out it works when the first Action runs. Current route shows what Pantaray would use, not the result of a live check.

Recording cannot be deleted from inside the app

Recorded activity expires on its own after 48 hours. There is no button that clears it early; to remove everything you delete Pantaray’s folder. See Stop recording, or limit what is recorded.
